Seasons

Each year, we experience four seasons-Winter, Autumn, Spring and Summer. One may wonder what causes these seasons and the weather they bring with them. The answer lies with the Earth's rotation on it's axis. When the Northern Hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun, it will receive more direct Sunlight and more hours of daylight, causing the amount of solar energy to rise. When it is tilted away from the Sun, the suns rays will be more spread out, resulting in less solar energy and a massive drop in temperature.
